octaplex® is a plasma-derived four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F-PCC). 1

It contains coagulation factors II, VII, IX and X and also the naturally occurring anticoagulants protein C and protein S.1

25-fold higher PCC concentration (based on FIX) than FFP, delivered in a small volume.1

Blood type identification is not required.1

Room temperature storage.1

high level of pathogen safety via specialised production steps1,2

octaplex® is indicated for

Acquired deficiency of prothrombin factors1

Treatment and peri-operative prophylaxis of bleeding in patients with acquired prothrombin complex factor deficiency, such as from VKA treatment or overdose, when rapid correction is needed.

Congenital deficiency of factor II or factor X1

Treatment and peri-operative prophylaxis of bleeding in patients with congenital deficiency of the vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors II and X when purified specific coagulation factor product is not available.

octaplex® quickly reverts vitamin K antagonists (VKA) associated-bleeding1,2

And unlike FFP, is ready to be used:

Rapidly reverses INR
within 10 minutes3

Reduces the need
for RBC transfusions4

In 95% of cases, a single dose is sufficient to reverse INR5

This percentage increased to 100% in patients with significantly elevated INR and a high risk of haemorrhage.

Is well tolerated and shows a low thrombogenic profile6

Quick reconstitution and easy administration¹
